Ok folks, just wondering what your favorite Superbowl commercial was. I am pretty sure the Superbowl was shown in a ton of countries other than the U.S., so we all should be able to participate in this one. My favorite commercial was for Snickers. Two auto mechanics are working on a car. One pulls out a snickers and they both start eating it, one from each end. When they get to the middle, their lips touch. One turns to the other and says something like, oh man, I think we just accidentally kissed! The other was like, quick, lets do something manly and it will be ok. So then proceed to open up their shirts and pull out their chest hair! Too darn funny!
Thank you for explaining that one. Now I get it and agree it was funny. As a blind person, I had no idea what the product being advertised was or what was happening. I heard the dialog, but had no idea what was happening. There were only a couple commercials during the first half of the game (I didn't watch the second half) that I could laugh at. Others might have been funny, but I would have had to have them described for me.
My favorite was the one with the bunnies from Blockbuster. You see the cage and you hear this eek! eek! eek! sound and then you see the two bunnies and in between them, there's a little brown mouse and one bunny is pressing on its back with its paw and he's like, "Are you sure clicking this mouse is supposed to get us online?" and the other one goes, "I don't know, try dragging it." So he takes the mouse by the tail and starts dragging it along all the wood chips on the cage floor and the mouse screams and then the bunny holds the mouse in the air by its tail and goes, "Oh, here's the problem, it's not plugged in!" and the mouse is like, "Don't even think about it!"

Yeah, I agree a lot of those commercials are really visual. I really appreciate the cleverness that goes in to those ads though, so whenever possible, I always try and watch the Superbowl with a sighted person who is willing to describe. Also, if you look on the internet, you can often find reviews and descriptions of all the commercials. If you want to see any or all of them again, CBS Sportsline (sorry, don't have the exact link) has them archived on their site and you can use Windows Media player.
Yes, the mouse click was funny!
the snickers one had me laughing for a while. But they took it off the air because they said it was offensive to the gay community or something like that but it really was a funny commercial.
Heaven forbid we should offend anyone with humorous commercials. God! People need to get over themselves.
I'm not sure if I really had a favorite commercial. I liked a lot of the ones that they played this year. As for the Snickers commercial, my mom told me yesterday that they pulled the commercial off of the air because a lot of people were in an uproar about it.
